About the program
The Rainbow Tick Implementation Project is a Victorian Government funded initiative to support Victorian health and human service organisations to build LGBTIQA+ inclusion in their systems and practice.
We know that LGBTIQA+ people are more likely to use and benefit from services that are affirming of their identities and experiences, especially those that meet recognisable standards like Rainbow Tick accreditation.
Whether your organisation is just starting out or already progressing on your inclusion journey, the Rainbow Tick Implementation Program offers access to a range of fully subsidised trainings, resources and expert guidance to support your organisation to best meet the needs of Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ communities.

What your organisation will receive
The Rainbow Tick Implementation Program offers eligible organisations:
- Enrolment in our How2 Program: a comprehensive training program where you will gain knowledge, skills and confidence to instigate an LGBTIQA+ strategy for your organisation
- Mentoring support to help implement your plan for LGBTIQA+ inclusion, including tools and templates
- Communities of Practice
- Masterclass Sessions
- Specialised training designed specifically for key sectors, including Gendered Services and Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations
- Subsidised fees for assessment and accreditation for Rainbow Tick

How2 Training Program
A core component of the Rainbow Tick Implementation Program is free access to our flagship training program How2.
How2 is a seven week program suited to any organisation looking to embed LGBTIQA+ inclusion in a sustainable way.
Designed to help create safe supportive environments for change, How2 draws on values of collaboration, intersectionality, respect for the unique expertise of service providers and people with lived experience.
How2 guides participants to:
- learn to identify hidden harms to LGBTIQA+ staff and service users within your systems
- work towards evidence-informed solutions
- develop and implement a plan specific to their organisation for facilitating LGBTIQA+ inclusion

How2
Core Program
The How2 Training is an interactive program where participating organisations gain the knowledge, skills and tools to develop a whole-of-organisation LGBTIQ+ strategy. Participants explore what needs to change, and how they can make lasting change happen with their organisations.
