Our program provides a suite of capability supports for mental health professionals and services, helping them provide safer, affirmative mental health care for LGBTIQA+ people and their families/support people. Offerings include:
  • LGBTIQA+ Inclusion in Mental Health ECHO community of practice: Free interactive lunchtime learning to increase your knowledge, skills, networks and resources.

  • Work with Pride in Mental Health: Interactive online workshop on foundation interpersonal skills and knowledge for providing safer, affirmative care.

  • How2 for Mental Health: A sector-specific version of RHA's core whole-organisation inclusion program, tailored for mental health services through partnership with practitioners, leadership and people with lived and living experience expertise.

How2 for Mental Health: Whole-organisation inclusion program

How2 for Mental Health program is a tailored version of RHA's core whole-organisation inclusion program. The program integrates the expertise of mental health practitioners, leaders and advocates with lived experience, peer-reviewed research and decades of RHA inclusion experience.

  • Gain knowledge, skills & tools to develop an LGBTIQA+ strategy.
  • Many agencies go on to achieve Rainbow Tick accreditation. 
  • Two to six staff complete 21 hours over 6 to 10 weeks
  • Enrolment now open for fully subsidised places in our March and April programs.

ECHO Community of Practice launches 12 Feb 2025

Join us! Build your knowledge and networks in LGBTIQA+ mental health with our free lunchtime learning sessions, 1 to 2pm every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 12 February 2025.

ECHO sessions are a great way to build your networks and LGBTIQA+ mental health knowledge, and hear from great speakers on introductory and specialist topics.

ECHO is a renowned international professional learning model with a strong evidence base in improving confidence and skills in complex and specialist care.
Sessions combine: 

  • TED-talk style presentations on hot and emerging topics.
  • Guided case-based discussion: a learning safe space to unpack complex issues with your peers and our expert panelists
  • Building networks and resources to support your practice.
